Physicians and Surgeons Salary Information

The salary statistics of physicians and surgeons are shown in Table 1. The average hourly salary of physicians and surgeons in the United States is shown in Table 2. In the next few tables we compare the average salaries of physicians and surgeons within different industry sectors and in the 50 states of the United States. The physicians and surgeons annual salary statistics are from the national compensation survey published by BLS in May 2013 [1].

The highest paying industry sector for physicians and surgeons occupations is the arts, entertainment, and recreation sector with an annual salary $184,100.
