Table 2 shows the average hourly salary for all occupations in Texas in 5 percentile scales. The average hourly salary for the 90th percentile is $39.65. The median hourly salary is $15.55. The average hourly salary for the bottom 10 percent is $8.32.
Table 3 shows the median annual salary of all occupations in some Texas cities and metropolitan areas. We note that the median annual salary of all occupations in state of Texas ranges from $22,390 to $35,670. The highest paying area for all occupations in Texas is Dallas-Plano-Irving with a median annual salary of $35,670. The second highest paying city/area in Texas State is Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos (mean annual salary $35,620). The lowest paying area is Brownsville-Harlingen with a median annual salary of $22,390.
