Table 2 shows the average hourly salary for all occupations in New Mexico in 5 percentile scales. The average hourly salary for the 90th percentile is $36.92. The median hourly salary is $15.11. The average hourly salary for the bottom 10 percent is $8.52.
Table 3 shows the median annual salary of all occupations in some New Mexico cities and metropolitan areas. We note that the median annual salary of all occupations in state of New Mexico ranges from $26,310 to $73,530. The highest paying area for all occupations in New Mexico is Los Alamos County with a median annual salary of $73,530. The second highest paying city/area in New Mexico State is Farmington (mean annual salary $33,690). The lowest paying area is Southwestern New Mexico nonmetropolitan area with a median annual salary of $26,310.
