The comparison of the salary statistics of all occupations among Puerto Rico cities is shown in Table 3. The salary statistics are based on the national compensation survey conducted by BLS in May 2012 [1].

The average annual salary for the 90th percentile (the top 10 percent of the highest paid) is $44,840. The median (50th percentile) annual salary is $19,990. The average annual salary for the bottom 10 percent is $16,280.

Table 2 shows the average hourly salary for all occupations in Puerto Rico in 5 percentile scales. The average hourly salary for the 90th percentile is $21.56. The median hourly salary is $9.61. The average hourly salary for the bottom 10 percent is $7.83.
Table 3 shows the median annual salary of all occupations in some Puerto Rico cities and metropolitan areas. We note that the median annual salary of all occupations in state of Puerto Rico ranges from $18,690 to $20,720. The highest paying area for all occupations in Puerto Rico is San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo with a median annual salary of $20,720. The second highest paying city/area in Puerto Rico State is Puerto Rico nonmetropolitan area 1 (mean annual salary $20,560). The lowest paying area is San German-Cabo Rojo with a median annual salary of $18,690.
